CSUMB Institute for Innovation & Economic Development
The Institute focuses on the need for more jobs in the region and for our graduating students and offers programs that work toward developing entrepreneurs and supporting innovative ideas that lead to new business opportunities in the region. iiED looks within the university and local research institutions to establish projects that assist students, investors, and entrepreneurs in successful internships, resources, and project development.
Fort Ord Reuse Authority
The Fort Ord Reuse Authority (FORA) is responsible for the redevelopment of the former Fort Ord Military Installation, a 45 square mile/28,000 acre facility, located on Monterey Bay near the Monterey Peninsula. FORA implements this legislatively mandated mission by overseeing replacement land use; assuring compliance with adopted measures; removing physical barriers to reuse; financing and constructing major components of the required infrastructure and base wide demands; and protecting identified environmental reserves. FORA exercises it’s planning, financing, and monitoring responsibilities under state law authority to meet these objectives in the best interest of the Northern Monterey Bay Community.
Santa Cruz Small Business Development Center
The Santa Cruz Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a nonprofit organization that provides expert no-cost advising, low cost workshops and small business training’s to guide small businesses to success and accomplishment. The Santa Cruz SBDC serves all of Santa Cruz County, is hosted by Cabrillo Community College, and is part of the Northern California SBDC network. We work hands-on with entrepreneurs and business owners to address challenges, seize opportunities and grow our client’s bottom line.
Small Business Development Center Cal Coastal
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Cal Coastal provides entrepreneurs and small businesses in Monterey and San Benito Counties with high quality consulting, support for innovation, access to information and tools necessary to build successful sustainable businesses.
Monterey Bay Economic Partnership
The Monterey Bay Economic Partnership was founded in 2015 to create a thriving region with quality jobs, excellent education and health care, and a high quality of life for all residents while preserving the natural beauty and healthy lifestyle we all share. MBEP’s strategy is to create and implement initiatives aligned with this vision. Our current initiatives include: Housing, Workforce, Technology and Events.
Monterey County Business Council
membership only organization, the Monterey County Business Council is comprised of professionals from business, government, and education working together on countywide issues. Founded in 1995, the non-profit corporation seeks to promote the concept of private-public partnerships by bringing business experience and techniques to the public arena..
Santa Cruz County Business Council
SCCBC places a great deal of emphasis on cultivating meaningful relationships between private- and public-sector leadership in an effort to build consensus that enhances community vitality. In 2014, local elected officials and public administrators from the following jurisdictions/offices have directly engaged with SCCBC in policy discussions directly impacting the local business community:

In mid-2003 a diverse group of San Benito County business men and women gathered out of a common belief that by sharing their personal and professional experiences in a collaborative effort, they could participate in the future success of the community by helping to address the challenges facing our area in a positive and constructive manner

The SBA helps Americans start, build and grow businesses. Through an extensive network of field offices and partnerships with public and private organizations, SBA delivers its services to people throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, the U. S. Virgin Islands and Guam.
California Business and Economic Development
California’s single point of contact for economic development and job creation efforts. GO-Biz offers a range of services to business owners including: attraction, retention and expansion services, site selection, permit assistance, regulatory guidance, small business assistance, international trade development, assistance with state government, and much more.
